If there's one thing we have learned over the years, it is that you will meet people with whom you will instantly connect, and it's like you have known one another for ages. Since we've been here in Canada, we have met a family like that here on the Island, then this weekend, we met another person like that. Once we returned to Port Alberni, we began unpacking our stuff in the new house. It took awhile to get things situated with our furnace; using oil as our fuel for the furnace is something new to us so Herman has had to get used to working this new furnace over. Cynthia flew back to the States on November 21 and Herman and PeeWee drove back until November 26. So we have been back for about two weeks now, and have been here, there, and everywhere. Today we went out to Duncan because their pastor is in Korea for two weeks. Herman spoke for the morning service. It was so encouraging to see more people in their congregation. Half are Asian and half are First Nations. We have visited this small church several times, so we know the people. Wow, today (Thursday) the sun was out all day with nary a cloud in the sky. Of course, all the lawn mowers started up. We are learning that sunny days are not too common so when it comes, everyone takes advantage of it by doing outdoor work. But for us, we were busy sorting, packing, and cleaning. We are hoping to begin moving stuff to the other house by next weekend so hopefully things work out.

We are new at this blogging stuff and will have more stuff up in a while. Cynthia is studying for a big exam this week so until she gets done, this is more or less on hold.
